Relay safety requirements
1. The insulating materials used for insulating materials shall have good temperature resistance, and the long-term working temperature shall reach 125 ℃.
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is divided into electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic anti-interference (EMS). Since the automobile relay uses a unified power supply, when the relay coil is disconnected, it will form a high voltage, which will interfere with other systems and modules. Therefore, plug-in automobile relays usually have parallel resistors or diodes for transient suppression, so that the coil back EMF is less than 100V. When the relay contact breaks, it will generate arc and emit electromagnetic wave, which will affect the IC operation. If this happens, an arc extinguishing circuit can be added to the contact. The distance between relay and IC can also be appropriately increased. |
